We are excited to announce the return of our popular Colour Run – a vibrant event that brings together our school community for fun, fundraising, and lots of colour.

Pupils will walk, jog or run through bursts of colour powder, enjoying a lively day while raising money for two brilliant causes: Team Thrumpton and Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

Team Thrumpton – our wildlife garden project

We are raising money to develop our school’s wildlife garden – a peaceful space that helps support children’s mental health and their understanding of nature.
The garden will be used for outdoor learning, quiet reflection, and creative activities, giving children time in a calm and natural setting right here at school.
Funds will help us grow our own crops and create homes for birds, bees, and insects, helping children learn about caring for the environment.

Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice

Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice is a local charity close to our hearts that provides specialist care and support for children and young people with life-limiting conditions. They also support families through difficult times, offering emotional, practical and medical help both at the hospice and at home.

All money raised from the Colour Run will be shared equally between Team Thrumpton and Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

Why do we need sponsorship?

To run this event safely, we must buy colour powder that meets health and safety rules and is suitable for children.
We are asking local businesses to sponsor the colour powder, so that every penny raised by our children can go directly to the two chosen causes.
Sponsoring a colour costs £50 and helps us make the day possible for everyone taking part.

Sponsors will be recognised in our school newsletter (shared with over 150 families), on our fundraising materials and across our school’s social media channels.

It is a great opportunity to support your local school and make a real difference to two important causes.

Do you – or someone you know – run a business that could sponsor a colour?
If so, please contact Miss Kerr, Mrs Padgett, or the school office. You can email: office@thrumptonprimary-ac.org.uk or call us on 01777 702092.
