February has been a month filled with exciting activities at Thrumpton Primary Academy.
We celebrated children’s mental health week, and this year’s theme was ‘This is My Place’. Throughout the week we took part in activities and discussions about the importance of showing kindness, supporting one another and celebrating that we are all unique.
Year five and six also took part in bike ability training where we began our journey on the playground to build up our confidence, before quickly progressing onto the roads. We applied the skills and techniques taught to us by our instructors and despite the wet and cold conditions, we impressed them all with our abilities.
We also represented Thrumpton at this year’s Young Voices concert at Sheffield Arena. Our choir put on an amazing performance, singing and dancing throughout the show and we are so proud of their achievement
