The festive season is approaching quickly and here at Thrumpton Primary Academy we are getting into the spirit.

Over the past few weeks, we have been working hard to prepare the Christmas displays for the Star Festival at Grove Street Church and the Christmas Tree Festival at St Swithun’s Church.

This is a yearly tradition of ours here at Thrumpton and it is something we look forward to every year.

For our contribution to the Tree Festival at St Swithun’s Church we decided on the theme of ‘A Christmas Dinner’. So, on the tree you will see handmade decorations from some of our children, including turkeys, brussels sprouts and Christmas puddings all created by our wonderful nursery, reception, team 1 and team 2 children.

For the Star Festival at Grove Street Church, we created a display named ‘The Unsung Stars of the Nativity’. The children in team 3 and 4 worked hard as they chose to create stars, sheep, donkeys and angels using a variety of materials

We are so proud of the creativity our children have shown during these activities, and it has been a wonderful way to kick off the festive season.
