Our wonderful children in key stage two (years 3-6) recently took to the stage at Retford Oaks Academy, performing ‘The Amazing Adventures of Superstan’ with incredible confidence and energy. Just days before the end of the academic year, they delivered two spectacular performances to friends and family, leaving everyone thoroughly impressed.
Produced by our dedicated key stage two staff, this musical was a fantastic, upbeat adventure that followed the story of Stanley Marvel. Stanley, a clumsy day-dreamer, discovers that the local hero, The Candy King, is actually a super villain determined to conquer the world with the help of his mad minions. However, Stan, aka Superstan, along with his crazy gran and friends, had other ideas!
The show was filled with plenty of laughs, spectacular songs, and crazy characters, giving all audiences a thoroughly enjoyable musical theatre experience.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to:
- Claire Rank from Retford Oaks Academy for her support with lighting and staging
- Retford Oaks Academy for hosting the show.
- Staff at Thrumpton Primary Academy for their dedication and commitment to producing the show.
- Ballards Removals, Storage, and Van Hire for donating lots of boxes to help build our cityscape for the show.
- All of the parents for providing costumes.
- The audience made up of friends, family, and Diverse Academy Trust staff for being there to cheer the children along.
Well done, Team Thrumpton! Your talent and hard work truly shone through in this amazing production.
